Este pasado fin de semana se nos fue otro de los grandes, Chuck Berry. Un inmortal artífice del rock and roll en la década de los cincuenta y uno de los guitarristas más reconocidos de la historia que nos abandonó a los 90 años de edad. Aunque su deseo era publicar un nuevo disco este mismo año, ahí quedará su legado con éxitos como ‘Maybellene’, ‘Roll Over Beethoven’, ‘Memphis’, ‘Mi Ding-A-Ling’, ‘Johnny B. Goode’, ‘Sweet Little Sixteen’ o ‘Nadine’. Berry (de nombre completo Charles Edward Anderson Berry) nació el 18 de octubre de 1926 en Saint Louis, Missouri (Estados Unidos). Su vida fue muy accidentada, pasando algunos periodos en la cárcel, pero su influencia alcanza todos los rincones del rock and roll, con Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Motorhead, AC/DC o los Rolling Stones a la cabeza.
